Ellen Welch MS, RD, LD, CEDS-C
Director of Nutrition Services
As Director of Nutrition Services, Ellen provides clinical leadership and oversight for nutrition services at RoundTable Wellness. Drawing from her extensive experience in eating disorder nutrition care, Ellen works to ensure that RTW’s nutrition services remain compassionate, collaborative, ethical, evidence-based, and responsive to the individual needs of the clients and families we serve.
A central part of Ellen’s leadership role is supporting the professional growth and development of RTW’s dietitians. She coordinates educational and training opportunities for the nutrition team, encourages continued learning, and helps dietitians strengthen their knowledge and confidence in providing specialized eating disorder care. Ellen believes that investing in the ongoing development of clinicians ultimately strengthens the quality of care provided to clients and families.
As a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Consultant (CEDS-C), Ellen also provides supervision and consultation to professionals pursuing the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) credential. Through this work, she helps clinicians deepen their understanding of eating disorders, strengthen their clinical judgment, and develop the specialized skills necessary to provide thoughtful and effective eating disorder care. She values supervision that encourages curiosity, collaboration, professional growth, and continued reflection.
Ellen works closely with organizational leadership to support clinical quality, safety, and consistency within nutrition services. She helps develop and maintain nutrition-related policies and procedures, supports quality improvement initiatives, and works to ensure that nutrition services align with current evidence-based practices, professional and ethical standards, and Joint Commission accreditation requirements.
Interdisciplinary collaboration is also an important part of Ellen’s leadership. Eating disorders are complex, and Ellen believes strong treatment requires communication and partnership across disciplines. She works alongside mental health providers, medical professionals, organizational leadership, and the dietitian team to support a coordinated approach to care and to continually strengthen RTW’s clinical programming.
At the heart of Ellen’s leadership is a commitment to developing strong dietitians and strong nutrition services. By investing in education, supervision, collaboration, and clinical excellence, she helps ensure that clients and families throughout RoundTable Wellness receive specialized nutrition care that is thoughtful, ethical, compassionate, and grounded in evidence.
