Holly Thomas, RD, LD

Holly is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) who is passionate about helping individuals develop a more confident, flexible, and sustainable relationship with food. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics with a minor in Psychology from the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and also holds a Master of Healthcare Administration.

Holly brings experience in both eating disorder treatment and community nutrition to her work at RoundTable Wellness. Her background includes specialized training and experience in outpatient eating disorder nutrition counseling, as well as working with WIC (Women, Infants, and Children), where she supported children and families with a variety of nutrition-related needs. These experiences have shaped her understanding that nutrition is influenced not only by food choices, but also by family dynamics, access to food, available resources, developmental needs, and each person's individual circumstances.

Holly believes everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue recovery and receive nutrition support that honors their individual experiences, needs, and goals. She recognizes that recovery rarely looks the same from one person to another and strives to meet clients where they are without judgment or expectation. Through compassionate, evidence-based nutrition care, Holly helps clients build confidence around food, develop greater flexibility with eating, and take meaningful steps toward recovery and long-term well-being.

Holly has a special interest in working with high school and college athletes experiencing eating disorders or disordered eating. She understands that athletes can face unique challenges related to fueling, training demands, performance expectations, body image, team culture, and pressure surrounding food or appearance. Holly enjoys helping athletes better understand their nutritional needs and work toward adequately fueling their bodies while supporting both eating disorder recovery and overall health.

When working with younger athletes, Holly recognizes the important role that parents, caregivers, coaches, and the broader support system can play. She strives to help clients and their support systems better understand the relationship between adequate nourishment, physical and emotional well-being, and an athlete's ability to participate in the activities they value.

Drawing from her experience working with children and families, Holly also has a special interest in picky eating in children. She enjoys helping families navigate feeding and nutrition concerns with compassion, practical strategies, and realistic expectations. She recognizes that eating difficulties can be stressful for both children and caregivers and believes nutrition support should help families feel more confident rather than create additional pressure around food.

Holly is also passionate about community nutrition and food insecurity. She understands that access to food, financial resources, transportation, culture, family circumstances, and other social factors can significantly influence a person's ability to nourish themselves. This perspective informs her belief that nutrition recommendations should not only be evidence-based, but also realistic, accessible, and responsive to the circumstances of each individual.

Above all, Holly approaches nutrition counseling as a partnership. She works alongside clients to identify meaningful and achievable goals while building the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to support recovery and create a relationship with food that can be sustained beyond the nutrition counseling setting.
