Kristen Griffin, MA, LMHCA, NCC, C-IAYT

Kristen is a licensed mental health counseling associate and certified yoga therapist who collaborates with clients to help them find less suffering and more joy in their lives. She believes we thrive when we embrace our authentic selves in community. With an extensive background in holistic practices—including intuitive movement, breathwork, and meditation—Kristen integrates mind-body approaches into her counseling work when appropriate. She has experience counseling individuals who have survived complex trauma, including domestic violence and sexual assault, and is comfortable working with clients navigating co-occurring medical diagnoses.

Kristen’s therapeutic approach is rooted in intersectional feminism, cultural humility, existentialism, and trauma-trained care, emphasizing validation, empowerment, and agency as clients reclaim nourishing relationships with themselves and others. She is passionate about advocating with our marginalized communities and resists pathologizing individuals for societal challenges. Transparency, partnership, and accountability are central to her work, always recognizing that clients are the experts in their own bodies and minds.

As a lifelong learner and art student at heart, Kristen finds joy in reading, animals, music, theater, fashion, comedy, dance, travel, and nurturing lifelong friendships.
