Lauren Magri, LMHCA

Young woman with long, wavy, reddish-brown hair smiling while standing against a red brick wall.

Lauren is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) who is passionate about creating a supportive, affirming space where clients can explore who they are, better understand themselves, and work toward meaningful personal growth. She has experience counseling adolescents and adults of all genders and strives to create an environment where clients feel safe, respected, and accepted, regardless of their background or where they are in their mental health journey.

With experience in inpatient and residential levels of care, Lauren understands that healing is rarely a linear process. She believes strongly in meeting clients where they are and providing person-centered care rooted in grace, compassion, curiosity, and unconditional support.

Lauren has a special interest in working with individuals navigating eating disorders, body image concerns, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, social anxiety, gender identity, and perfectionism or high-achieving tendencies. She particularly enjoys helping clients explore how these experiences may intersect and influence their relationship with themselves and the world around them.

In her work with eating disorders, Lauren is passionate about helping clients move beyond symptom reduction to explore a larger question: What do I want my life to be about outside of my eating disorder? She supports clients in building a stronger sense of identity, developing meaningful relationships and interests, reconnecting with their values, and creating a life that feels fulfilling beyond the eating disorder.

Lauren draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Feminist Therapy, while recognizing that therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. She tailors her approach to each individual and their unique needs, strengths, identities, and goals.

Above all, Lauren’s priority is helping clients feel understood and supported as they work toward reclaiming their lives and creating meaningful, sustainable change.

Outside of the therapy room, Lauren enjoys cuddling with her rabbit, exploring new coffee shops, and reading fantasy and romance books. She also loves cozy video games, crocheting bandanas, and tending to her small garden.
